茶葉的第一泡到底能不能喝?
現今不少民眾講求健康飲食，料理大多以少糖、少油及少鹽為主，在均衡營養的前提下清淡飲食。有網友分享，自己在家偶爾會泡茶來喝，有些人主張茶的「第一泡」不能喝，但有的人卻不以為意，所以「第一泡到底要不要喝？」
目前臺灣允許在茶園中進行病害防治所使用的藥劑，係採安全性高及水溶性低的藥劑，行政院農業委員會茶業改良場(以下簡稱茶改場)歷年檢測茶乾農藥殘留及評審茶湯品質之國際標準作業流程，均未廢棄第一泡茶，亦未曾發現茶湯農藥殘留過量案件與第一泡茶湯廢棄與否有關。
茶葉上若有殘留農藥是否可以沖泡出來，或連續沖泡下其溶出情形等問題，相當的複雜並沒有簡單的答案。概略地說，凡是茶葉上殘留的農藥屬於水溶性較高者，例如，美文松、達馬松、加保扶及納乃得等，沖泡後較容易出現在茶湯中；而水溶性較低者 (屬脂溶性，如賽滅寧、芬化利等)，在茶湯中的殘留量就相對少很多，通常無法測出，而目前茶葉推薦用藥多屬非水溶性。在連續沖泡時，每一泡茶湯的分佈量及其是否集中在第一泡中，並無定論。
在茶藝展示或品質評定過程，為求茶質儘速呈現，常以「溢壺」或「溫潤泡」方式濾除茶沫，而袋茶或大壺沖泡則無此必要，表示「第一泡茶」之「洗滌」功能並非流程主要訴求。因此，網路謠言「不喝第一泡茶」實與農藥無關。
食安問題-茶葉的第一泡到底能不能喝？
根據曾任茶業改良場場長的台大園藝系教授陳右人表示，以國內茶而言，檢驗標準高，多數農藥也為脂溶性，除非吃掉茶葉，否則用水溶出農藥的量是極低。要喝到超過國家標準，依照我們實驗，第一泡要喝到800公升才會有問題。
這裡可以做一個不太像樣的比喻，所謂的脂溶性農藥跟水溶性農藥的對比，就好像白板筆跟麥克筆一樣，同樣畫在茶葉上面，但一個用水就可以輕輕鬆鬆洗掉，一個卻要用去漬油才可以洗乾淨。這樣說，或許有助於大家了解兩種農藥的差異，所以，陳教授才會說，如果要喝到出問題，第一泡茶要喝到800公升才夠。
所以，第一泡茶倒掉是不是因為要洗農藥？我通常這樣回答，如果第一泡茶裡的農藥能被你洗出來，那麼表示這茶已經超級毒，當你喝完第二、第三道茶之後，通常人已經在醫院裡面了。因此，泡茶的時候，第一泡茶倒掉絕對不是坊間說的要洗農藥。
